Wedding Cake and Cupcake

Yeah, Wedding cake and cupcake also has combo set ;p

I made this Bear Bear wedding cake for a friend. She let me have own idea for the wedding cake. So, come out the design as below photo

You see the two hearts on the right of the photo right? It is suppose to be put at the back of the two lovely bear. But as this cake needed to send to Ipoh, so, i did not put on the heart, so that it is more easy to carry during transportation (same as the Bear Bear, i given to my friend in separately container, and made a marking to her, so that she know how to put on it).

This is how the Bear Bear will look like after put on the Hearts....Two Hearts, One Love :) Sweet.....

Why i will make Combo of Wedding Cake and Wedding Cupcake? Initially, i think of to make two tiers cake. But after thinking that my friend need to carry back to Ipoh together with her wedding gaun, it will make her life difficult, thus, i made it to cupcake and cake, so that more easy to carry :)

Of course, if you interested, you can have just the wedding cake (1, 2, 3 tiers also can ;) ) or just the cupcakes:

If you want, you can even use the cupcakes (2pcs per pack) as door gift for the guests who attend your wedding, this must be very impressing!!

Also, cupcake can be used to replace the wedding biscuit (the red and yellow biscuit) during the Guo-Dai-Lai :)

Any query, pls email to Mama.Hui.HMH@gmail.com

Thanks!

Fullmoon Cupcake!!

Yeah, here is my new project :) A Full Moon 6pcs Cupcake Gift Pack!!

I doing those figurine using fondant (sugar base), so the bear, the diapers, the egg etc, also can be eaten :) it is just like candy/sweet, but sweeter than sweet...my son love them, i mean love to eat them ;p

Normally, we will give some present to our friend and relatives, after fullmoon of our baby. Normally, it will be chicken, kuih etc, which actually turn very oily and cannot keep for too long, also a mess when you want to send to your friend/relative.

Visit & Donate - Insan Welfare Society of Brain Injured Child

This is the second beneficial of MamaHui Home Made House jelly mooncake and RM125 cash :) Again, will scan the receipt of donation to show you all next time

They actually located in two single story link house, and there are 30 overs kids that need to be taken care. Can you imagine 30+ person squeeze in 2 small houses? Actually some of them is not kids, as they already 30+ years old... The youngest will be about 6 years old. 30+ of them are taken care by 4 full tim Indonesian maid, who are really very kind to the child, and taken good care on them. They are also volunteer that came to help them, but they actually need more, as some of the kids cannot take care of themselves...

The below is a photo that we taken with some of the Brain-Injured Child. We did not take photo with others, as their parents may wish to have privacy, as others children condition is not as good as those that you can see in the below picture. Oh, the lady in the center (back), is a volunteer who help them in the center.

Actually felt sad after visiting them. During our visit, there was on hyper-active child who being tied by the maid with cloth, coz this kid will run away if you don't tied him. We chat with the volunteer about 20minutes, the whole 20minutes, this kid kept on yelling (with no meaning). The volunteer said that he is only 6 years old, and he can yell for the one whole week, till he has no voice, and have to bring him to clinic to see doctor.

Then i saw two kids, one is 8-9 years old, and the other one is 16 years old. They having problem of muscle atrophy (i not sure whether i using correct term), so they can only lay down on the floor, and have to depends on others to take care of them, and their size is only like a 3-4 years old kids. Anyway, when you smile with them, they will return ith a big smile.

They really need help and need more care from the society. Even my husband felt like wanted to cry when seeing them, and he donated RM100 by himself. So, if you would like to donate money, old clothes etc to them, you may contact them at 03-79820340. I think money will be the most practical, as they can use the money to pay rental, expenses, salary of the maid etc. Oh, FYI, one day, they will need about 12kg of rice, can you imagine how big is their expenses? And, almost all of them need to wear disposeable diapers (for adult), else they will...sorry, but they will play and eat their shit...even they wear, they also will...

Ok, don't just say sad thing. Did you notice a boy (actually 19 years old) holding my hand in the photo? He is actually Autism. He cannot speak (any few simple tune that he can pronounce, but actually he is not dumb), and he only live in his own world. He will not have eyes contact with you, even you tried to look at his eyes, he will avoid you. Initially, when we chat, he was holding my friend hand. The volunteer tell us that usually he only holding hand of people that he really like, and he will bring them to walk around. Just after the volunteer finished the sentence, he came to me, holding my hand and bring me walked around.

He brought me into the house, then went to kitchen, he then took a small packet (like used in cooking), then he see a while and put back. Then he brought me to some where near the toilet, and taken a sachet of shampoo, then he look at the pack and he put back. Then, he brought me to the dining table, and he looked down the table, and found junk food there, he so happy and quickly grab a pack, and brought me to outside!! You know what, i think he just want me to be her 'shield', coz if he took the junk food himselves, the maid or volunteer will scold him, but if i am alon, then... so clever!

Oh, if you want us to donate on behalf, you can let me know. We shall help to donate when we visit them :) O, maybe you can call them to get their bank account.

Oh, this is very important!! This charity center is actually founded by a very kind doctor (i really respect him, even i did not met him!!Luckily this world still hav such kind people), who taken care this children, and almost all the children did not pay (suppose to pay RM400 per month) as they are from poor family. So, they really need our support....

Thank  you!

First Visit & Donate ... Home For The Angels

Hi friend, as mentioned, we were visiting the below charity center on 12 Sept 2010. Below is some update for your information :) I will split to two posts for two different place.

First Visit - Home For The Angels, located in Bandar Sungai Long
MamaHui Home Made House had donated 8 boxes of jelly mooncake and RM125 to Home For The Angels (i will try to scan the receipt of donation and show you all then).

We reached there about 11am. It is actually a double storey link house. There are 14 kids that need to take care by the center, youngest is 6 years old, eldest is Form 4.

Most of them is from those broken family, father or mother or both parents passed away, parents very old/sick thus cannot take care, abused by parents, etc. 14 of them together with a teacher that taking care of them, squeeze in two bedrooms within wooden bed (no tilam). We did not visit their rooms, but from window, in looks like the wooden bed is like those layered-wood (sam-gap-ban in cantonese, not sure is called layered wood) in double decker.

We had taken photo with some of the children :) The one wearing spec and in white t-shirt is me, Mamahui, and the other pretty girl in blue t-shirt is my friend who accompany me to visit them, and the one who taken this photo is my husband who not in the photo ;p

Home For The Angels is actually taken care by a Buddhist Association. Therefore, all the children is with Buddhist name, and their name is with meaning. Boy is start with ‘一’and girl start with '妙'. And the teacher name them by looking on their character/personality etc. For example, if the boy very naughty and cannot be quiet, they named him 一静

Every morning, they will need to go pray at 7am and 7pm, even if holiday. And, one year, they can only go home once, either to their house (if their parents still here), or go to relatives house, during Chinese New Year.

They actually looking for donation of a land (and money as well), so that they can have a better environment. If you interested to donate, you may bank in to Maybank Account 512389700154.

Thanks again for your donation of jelly mooncake!! The children so excited when they see the jelly mooncake, and kept on asking us what is the falvor :)

Thank you!!!

Some thing that gave me a 'shock' during this Jelly Mooncake donation

I think i should share some thing that 'touched' or 'shocked' my heart during the raise of the donation of this jelly mooncake...or, i should say : gave me a 'blink blink', and let me have new thinking about donation...

This post is not about our product, or the status of the Jelly Mooncake donation, so you may skip this post if you not interested, but i think good to read :)

After we decided to raise donation of jelly mooncake, i saw a friend in Skype, then i told her about this donation (she actually bought two boxes jelly mooncake from me). Then she asked me to donate two boxes on behalf, and will pay me later.

Therefore, i said thank you to her on behalf of the charity center. The touching moment happened (or the blink blink ;p), what she said really made me a 'shock', she said "i should thank you instead, as you given me opportunity to do charity"

Huh, you know what, after i saw her reply, my view about 'donation' is changed!

Last time, i think that raising a donation is to help those that need our help, as simple as this, nothing else. But after read her reply, i 'suddenly' understand that raising a donation, not just to hope those kids will feel happy when received jelly mooncake (coz most kids like jelly), but to give opportunity to others to do donation and show their concern to the society.

I really 101% agreed on my friend! Coz not everybody have the 'chance' to do donation. Some did not read my post and some did not get my sms, as i not telling everyone that i know. I just tell when i met then, and felt like telling ;p so, if that day i did not tell her about this donation, she will not manage to donate two boxes of jelly mooncake....

I think nowaday, everyone is too busy, till even no time to do donation. Ya, sometimes, we do have 'opportunity' to do donation when you having your lunch/dinner outside, where someone will come with 'license' or photos and asked for donation, but as you  in doubt of the 'donation' (don't know really a donation or not...), so most of us will not donate.

So, hope not only MamaHui Home Made House, but others can give us an opportunity to do donation....of course, must be trustable... ;)

Going to send Jelly Mooncake to Charity Center by Tomorrow!

Hi friends, once again, thank you very much for the donation. Till today, we managed to gather 22boxes of Jelly Mooncake. Although not reaching our target of 30boxes, but this is still an encouraging figure for us!

After deduct the necessary expenses + some cash donation, we will donate in total RM245 for the Charity Center mentioned in previous post. As the donation in cash is not much, therefore, we will see if we should donate cash (means RM110/center) or buy necessaries to them :) we shall decide after we visit them tomorrow :)

Oh, after spending me one whole day to finish the 22 boxes of jelly mooncake, we going to send to the Charity Center by tomorrow!!

Although this is just Jelly mooncake, i think they can feel warm as we still remember them in this meaningful festive season. Hope they will happy with this present from you, i think they sure will :)

In future, MamaHui Home Made House may still planning for some others charity activity, we hope to receive your support again :)

Last but not lease...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Jelly Egg Yolk is Not Real Egg Yolk

Hi, this is to clarify that the Jelly Egg Yolk that inside the Large Jelly Mooncake is not Real Egg Yolk :)

Hope this explain your doubt...as few customers query about this :)
